A ZIP of plain folders and a one-page guide. Needs Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus on a desktop or laptop (or a free AI on your own computer). Version 0.9.

Why I built it

For too long, I had to keep re-explaining myself and constantly uploading files in each AI conversation or repeat myself when switching between AI apps. Sometimes it made it into memory, or I built a skill around it. Then I'd switch to a different AI and start from scratch. And all that repeating burned through my tokens. So often I hit my limit in the middle of a project and had to wait hours for it to reset before I could keep going.

So I began keeping it all in plain text files, in the same folders I've used since 2017 for my life and my businesses. I was a facilitator for Tiago Forte's Building a Second Brain course, so those folders were already my second brain. What was missing was an AI that could read it, file into it, and keep it current.

Those folders now run my company: marketing, finance, operations, and product development. Every Friday it writes the marketing report my co-founder reads before our call. I don't re-explain anything, and it isn't tied to one AI. People kept asking how, so I packaged it. Whether you run a business or the business of your life, it's your own chief of staff, in files you own.

What makes it different

Works with every AI. Claude's memory doesn't follow you into ChatGPT. Your folders do. Use Claude on Monday and ChatGPT on Wednesday, or have one double-check the other's work. No second setup, nothing lost.

Memory you can see and edit. Built-in AI memory is a black box. The app decides what's worth keeping, and you can't easily see or change it. Here, everything your AI knows sits in files you can read and edit.

It knows what you've decided. Not just your preferences: what's settled, what you've said no to, and which calls are yours alone.

Private when you need it. Point it at an AI running on your own computer and, set up fully locally, nothing leaves your machine.

Uses fewer tokens. Tokens are how AI plans measure your usage. Your AI reads a one-page map of what you know, then opens only the notes it needs, so a bigger archive barely adds tokens per question. And because everything is saved to files, you can start a fresh chat anytime without re-explaining yourself or re-uploading files.

You think. It types. It interviews you, files what you decide, and brings things back to you every Friday. The decisions stay yours.

Set up in seven steps

Do one a day, or all in one sitting.

  1. Copy the folders and let it interview you.About half an hour. You never open a file.
  2. Catch it being wrong.Correct it once, and it saves the correction.
  3. Tell it five true things,or drop in a few files and let it sort them.
  4. Fill in one project. It knows the deadline from then on.
  5. Give it one rule. The folder starts getting smarter, not just bigger.
  6. Do the Friday audit together.Fifteen minutes, every week. This is the habit.
  7. Set up your first weekly check. It flags what's gone stale, so Fridays start with a list.

Before you start

This is version 0.9. It's built from a system I use every day, and it's now being tried by its first outside users. The download includes a short pilot checklist. If you try it, I'd love to hear where you got stuck. You'll need a desktop or laptop (the phone apps can't open folders on your computer) and a paid AI plan that lets the AI work in a folder: Claude Pro or higher, or ChatGPT Plus or higher, as of October 2026. No paid plan? It can also run on a free, open-source AI on your own computer, which takes more setup.
